British-Ghanaian entrepreneur and media personality, Dentaa Amoateng, has expressed gratitude after being honoured with a diplomatic passport by the Government of Ghana.
Dentaa, who has dedicated over two decades to promoting Ghana and strengthening ties between Africa and its diaspora, described the recognition as a powerful reminder of the importance of collective effort in nation-building.
“I’m humbled to have been honoured with a diplomatic passport by the Government of Ghana, alongside some truly inspiring Ghanaians—Wode Maya, Rocky Dawuni, Anita Erskine, and Ibrahim Mahama,” she wrote on Instagram.
“This recognition means so much to me. It reflects the work we’ve been doing for over 20 years to showcase Ghana, connect Africa and its diaspora with the world, and create opportunities for collaboration and growth. The diaspora plays a vital role in nation-building, and this milestone reminds me how powerful we can be when we come together to invest, innovate, and tell our own stories.”
Dentaa also extended her appreciation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, and to her supporters and partners who continue to believe in her mission.
She joins Wode Maya, Grammy-nominated musician Rocky Dawuni, broadcaster Anita Erskine, and artist Ibrahim Mahama as one of the five distinguished Ghanaians honoured with diplomatic passports at the official media launch of the 2025 Diaspora Summit in Accra.
The passports were presented in recognition of their contributions to promoting Ghana and Africa globally, while also appointing them as ambassadors for the upcoming Diaspora Summit scheduled for December 19 and 20.
