The dynamic duo, Elsie Raad and Mike Millz are back again with another bang. Following the success of her last release ‘Run’, Elsie has taken it up a notch by captivating listeners with the uniqueness of her newest sound. The song, which dropped on the 30th of September, showcases her affirming lyrics and indicates how dynamic and refreshing Elsie’s art is. “6FigureDebby is a song for the girlies. I made this song to inspire myself and any other girl or woman out there feeling all kinds of low energy.
It’s easy to overthink and overlook all of our accomplishments especially when we’re not where we would like to be yet. This song was inspired by all the hard work I’ve seen my mum do over the years, and how much strength and resilience she’s had through everything life has thrown her way. Every time I watch her get beat down, she rises back up ten times harder and I’m truly inspired by her willpower to carry on, because it’s easy to give up in these hard and trying economic times. I believe aside from myself, a lot of people out there can relate to that.

The title of the song was also inspired by a girl called Deborah that was my dormmate back in high school. She was the youngest yet top of the most intelligent girls in our year group and she never let anyone bully her because of her age. I was truly inspired by her courage and the way she always had her head held high. I’m happy to say she went on to become one of the youngest doctors from our year group and it makes me so proud to have known her.
The cover art was inspired by the first ever profession I saw my mum in growing up. I wanted to bring that nostalgic feel to the visual representation of the song. My mum was a beautician who owned a hair and nails beauty salon at the age of 25 which I find very inspiring. She also went on to be so many other things from there. 6FigureDebby is a song to remind us that we are whoever we think we are, and can be whoever we want to be, and sometimes the only person that can get in our way is our own self.
6FigureDebby was produced by Mike Mills, and Co-Produced by myself. The additional piano on the song was played by producer and singer Reynolds The Gentleman, who is also based in Accra Ghana. I had the idea for the song in December of 2020 and immediately hit the studio with Mike to work on it and then had Reynolds play the piano later in 2022, because I felt the song was missing something. The mixing was done by Mike & Bobby E.M.A who also happens to be an amazing producer and sound engineer.
Bobby mastered the song. The cover art was shot and edited by Juice the Flying Saucer. The cover art design was done by Feoisugly & Iddrisu M. Reed who are both incredible graphic designers but the latter specializes in 3D art” said Elsie Raad.
The single is available across all major streaming platforms, accompanied by exciting visuals and promotional content that are still unfolding.
