Ejisu came alive over the weekend as award-winning Ghanaian rapper Amerado successfully hosted the third edition of his annual flagship event, My Motherland Concert, at the iconic Okese Park, drawing an estimated crowd of 15,000 to 20,000 patrons.
The highly anticipated homecoming concert once again reaffirmed Amerado’s deep connection to his roots while celebrating Ghanaian music, culture, and community. The event has steadily grown into one of the most talked about artiste-led concerts in the Ashanti Region.

Amerado delivered an electrifying headline performance, thrilling fans with a powerful set made up of his biggest hits and lyrical showcases that define his artistry. His commanding stage presence and strong interaction with the audience turned Okese Park into a sea of excitement, chants, and sing-alongs that lasted through the night.

The concert was supported by an impressive lineup of top tier acts, including music legend Okyeame Kwame, King Paluta, Sista Afia, Strongman, Akwaboah, Oseikrom Sikanii, and Fancy Gadam, whose energetic performances kept the crowd on its feet.
The night also featured surprise appearances by King Paluta and actor cum musician Lil Win, further heightening the excitement. For the first time in the history of the My Motherland Concert, the show welcomed an international act, with Liberian music star JZyNo delivering a thrilling performance that added a cross-border flavour to the event.
In addition to music, the concert treated patrons to comedy performances from Asafo Powers and 24Gh, bringing laughter and entertainment to the massive crowd.

A special highlight of the night was a tribute segment honouring Okyeame Kwame for his immense contribution to Ghanaian music and culture, a moment that was warmly received by both fans and industry players present.
The event was graced by the presence of the Ejisuhemaa, Nana Yaa Asantewaa II, who delivered an inspiring speech, adding traditional and cultural significance to the celebration.
The third edition of My Motherland Concert ran through the night and officially closed at 6:00am on Monday morning, marking one of the longest and most memorable live music events in Ejisu.
With its overwhelming turnout, rich lineup, and seamless blend of music, comedy, culture, and community engagement, My Motherland Concert continues to solidify its status as a flagship event on Ghana’s live music calendar, while further cementing Amerado’s legacy as a hometown hero committed to giving back to his people.
