Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has initiated legal action against broadcaster and musician Blakk Rasta over what he describes as defamatory comments made in a video titled “Shatta Wale, Self-Confessed King of Fraud.”
According to a court summons sighted by Ghana Weekend on Monday January 19, the suit alleges that statements made in the video are false, damaging, and injurious to Shatta Wale’s reputation, brand, and professional standing both locally and internationally.
As part of the reliefs being sought, Shatta is demanding that Blakk Rasta immediately remove and permanently delete the said video from all platforms where it has been published or shared.
In addition, Shatta is requesting a public apology, to be published in full-page format in the Daily Graphic, Ghanaian Times, and Graphic Showbiz newspapers.
The summons further demands damages of GHS 100,000,000.
This legal action marks the latest development in the long-standing public tension between the two public figures, which has often played out through media commentary and social platforms.
At the time of filing this report, Blakk Rasta has not publicly responded to the lawsuit.
