The High Court of Justice in Accra has confirmed that there is no record of a will for the late highlife musician Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, in its Probate and Administration Division registry.
This confirmation came after an official search was carried out at the registry as part of the legal process to manage the musician’s estate.
The search was intended to establish whether Daddy Lumba had deposited a Last Will and Testament with the High Court, and if so, the date it was filed, who filed it, and the lawyer who prepared it.
However, the registry’s response, dated January 19, 2026, at 2:37 pm, stated that there is no record of any will being deposited by the late musician.
The document, signed and stamped by the Registrar of the Probate and Administration Division, confirmed that the court has no such record.
With no will found in the court records, the estate may have to be handled under Ghana’s intestate succession laws unless a will is produced from another source. This development raises further legal considerations for the family and legal team managing the late artist’s affairs.
Daddy Lumba, celebrated for his significant impact on Ghanaian highlife music, left behind a strong musical legacy. His death continues to generate public interest, especially regarding how his estate will be administered.
