Prophet Bernard ElBernard Nelson-Eshun, the founder and leader of Spiritlife Revival Ministries, also known as The Oracles’ Place, has issued a public apology following the failure of his prophecy concerning the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries held on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
In a statement posted on his official Facebook page on the same day, the Ghanaian Christian minister, author, and entrepreneur admitted that his earlier prophetic declarations about the outcome of the primaries did not come to pass.
Prophet ElBernard had previously stated through a book, videos, and several media interviews that outspoken NPP flagbearer hopeful, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, would win the party’s presidential primaries and emerge as the flagbearer.
However, provisional results from the elections indicate that former Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is in a commanding lead, although the Electoral Committee of the NPP had not officially declared a winner at the time of the post.
In his public statement titled “Public Statement & Apology,” Prophet ElBernard acknowledged that his prophecy was inaccurate and took full responsibility for the error.
“That word did not come to pass. I missed it. I was wrong, I am deeply sorry, and I ask for your forgiveness,” he stated.
The prophet further admitted that because he spoke with what he described as “prophetic authority,” many people trusted his word and were affected emotionally, spiritually, and politically by the declaration.
“I take full responsibility for this prophetic word. I sincerely apologise to everyone who trusted my word and was hurt, disappointed, or negatively impacted in any way,” he added.
He emphasised that he was not shifting blame or offering excuses, openly admitting that the prophecy, as declared, had failed.
According to him, the incident has caused him to pause and reassess how prophetic revelations are communicated, especially in politically sensitive matters.
Prophet ElBernard also extended a heartfelt apology to believers in Ghana and across the world who felt disappointed or wounded by the prophecy, noting that he regretted any doubt his actions may have sown about faith and the voice of God.
“I remain committed to integrity, growth, and truth,” he assured, adding that he is grateful to those who have corrected him in love and continue to pray for him.
The apology has since generated widespread reactions on social media, with mixed responses from supporters, critics, and members of the Christian community, as the NPP’s highly anticipated presidential primaries continue to dominate national political discourse.
