Guinness World Record holder Sharon Dede Padiki has officially unveiled two major initiatives aimed at promoting Ghanaian art and cultural heritage.
The celebrated artist, recognised for creating the world’s first largest leaf painting, unveiled the initiatives at a press launch in Accra on Thursday February 19.
The event marked the introduction of the Golden Stool Art Foundation and the launch of the Sharon Dede Padi (Padiki) Magazine both designed to advance artistic development and preserve Ghana’s rich cultural identity.

The ceremony attracted key dignitaries and stakeholders from institutions including the Ghana Tourism Authority, UNESCO, United Nations Environment Programme, and the Creative Arts Agency alongside prominent media personalities and members of the creative arts industry.
Speaking at the launch, Padiki emphasised her commitment to showcasing Ghanaian culture and heritage on a global stage through Arts.
She noted that the newly introduced magazine will serve as a platform to highlight Ghana’s traditions, artistic expressions, and historical narratives, while amplifying the voices of creatives within the industry.

The Golden Stool Foundation she explained has been established to nurture artistic talent from the early stages of education.
The initiative seeks to encourage creativity among young people, provide mentorship opportunities, and empower emerging artists with the resources needed to excel.
Padiki’s latest ventures underscore her dedication not only to breaking artistic records but also to building sustainable structures that will strengthen Ghana’s creative ecosystem for generations to come.
