Broadcast Journalist Anita Akua Akuffo has graduated with a Master’s degree in Public Relations with Marketing from the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC).
The congregation was held on Friday, March 13.
Speaking to Channel One TV after the ceremony, the media personality expressed excitement about achieving the milestone, describing it as a long-awaited moment.
“Only God knows how long I have been waiting for this day. Right from the moment we started, I was looking forward to it, so it is a great feeling, and I am excited,” she said.
Akuffo admitted that balancing work and academic responsibilities was challenging, noting that she had previously used her busy schedule as an excuse to delay further studies.
“I’ve used work as an excuse for so long, but I realised that 2025 was the year I needed to put that excuse aside and get it done. It’s been tough working, combining school, having to read and all of that but it is possible,” she stated.
According to her, returning to school took time and patience, as she completed her undergraduate degree about nine years ago.
“You have to go through the process and be patient with yourself. Allow yourself to go through and grow through the process,” she advised.
Akuffo also encouraged young people to pursue their academic and career goals despite challenges, adding that her journey should serve as motivation to others.
“What keeps me going is God and the fact that I don’t want to fail. I want to do more for myself,” she noted, hinting that she may consider pursuing a PhD in the future.
