Music duo DopeNation has paid a courtesy visit to the president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, as part of efforts to support Ghana’s journey towards the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The twin brothers, whose hit song “Kakalika” is currently gaining global attention, shared details of the visit in a social media post on Tuesday, May 20, after meeting the GFA boss a day earlier on Monday, May 19.

According to DopeNation, the meeting centred on discussions about possible collaborations between Ghana’s music and football industries to help rally support for the national team ahead of the tournament.
“We paid a courtesy visit to the president of the Ghana Football Association, Mr Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup,” the duo wrote.
“As part of our vision to supporting the course, we expressed our gratitude to the president and further discussed possible avenues for a partnership, merging Ghana music with Ghana football.”
The group also revealed that the meeting ended on a light-hearted note, stating that they enjoyed the GFA President’s “Swingi ma me” moment.
The visit highlights the growing relationship between Ghana’s entertainment and sports sectors, with musicians increasingly showing support for the Black Stars and national football activities ahead of major international competitions.
