GCB Bank has emerged as the overall winner of the 2026 Business Olympics, extending its record in the annual corporate sporting competition.
The bank secured the overall championship after recording victories in several disciplines, including men’s and women’s tug of war, seven-a-side football, men’s volleyball, men’s lime and spoon, men’s lawn tennis, men’s and women’s sack race, and Scrabble.
The performances earned GCB Bank the points needed to claim the overall title at this year’s competition, held on Saturday, September 26.
The bank was subsequently presented with the gold medal and the Overall Champions Award.
The latest triumph marks GCB Bank’s ninth overall championship since it began participating in the Business Olympics.
The 2026 edition featured 20 sporting disciplines, including arm wrestling, chess, draughts, swimming and other individual and team events.
Ahead of this year’s competition, GCB Bank had expressed confidence in retaining the title during an appearance on Breakfast Daily on Channel One TV.
The bank went on to secure the overall crown after another strong showing across the various disciplines.
