President of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach, Reverend Lawrence Tetteh, has added his voice to the feigned gunshot incident involving dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale.
Speaking in an interview on GTV, the reverend minister said Shatta Wale is so popular in Ghana that it was not necessary for him to have pulled the stunt.
According to him, a lot of Ghanaian celebrities put up certain unruly and despicable behaviours because they are not properly counseled, adding that the dancehall artiste did not need that stunt to become popular.
“Most of our musicians or artistes are not properly counseled, and I think it is very unfortunate because Shatta Wale does not need this situation to be popular. By the grace of God, he’s been accepted and has his place in the community,” he said.
He also said that three years ago when Shatta Wale threatened to burn churches over another death prophecy, he advised him on his utterances.
“I prayed for him and said he was not going to die. I also advised him that a statement he made that he was going to burn churches if the prophecy did not come true was not right,” Reverend Tetteh noted.
He, therefore, thanked the Inspector General of Police George Akuffo Dampare for working hard to bring sanity into the country.
Shatta Wale and four other people have been remanded into police custody for spreading false news about an assassination attempt.
