Renowned broadcaster Kwami Sefa Kayi has been recognized by the Paediatric Society of Ghana for his significant contributions to neonatal care through the Kokrokoo Charities Foundation.
The foundation, a health and social intervention initiative, has donated incubators to several health facilities across the country, benefiting major hospitals such as Tamale Teaching Hospital and Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
At the society’s 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM), themed “Universal Health Coverage: Bridging Gaps and Building Resilience in Child Healthcare Delivery across Ghana,” Mr. Sefa Kayi received a Citation of Honour in recognition of his efforts.

Expressing gratitude for the recognition, he pledged to intensify his work and called on corporate organizations and private individuals to support the foundation’s goal of providing 100 incubators nationwide to improve the survival chances of preterm babies.
“So far, 62 out of the 100 incubators have been distributed,” he noted, emphasizing the need for further support to complete the target. He also revealed plans for a 60-bed mother’s unit at Ho Teaching Hospital to enhance maternal and neonatal care.
Other honorees at the event included Prof. Efua Hesse and journalist Afia Amankwa Tamakloe for their contributions to healthcare.
