The West African Examinations Council has released the provisional results of candidates who sat for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination.
Candidates will need a valid WAEC Result Checker voucher containing a serial number and a 12-digit PIN to access their results. The voucher can be purchased by dialling *713*5388# or by visiting expresscheckers.com
Candidates can then check their results through the official WAEC results portal at https://ghana.waecdirect.org/.
However, mistakes made during the results-checking process can cause unnecessary delays or prevent candidates from accessing their results. Below are five common mistakes candidates should avoid when checking their 2026 WASSCE results online.
1. Use only the official WAEC Ghana results-checking portal at https://ghana.waecdirect.org/. Avoid suspicious links shared on social media, WhatsApp, or unfamiliar websites.
2. Enter your Index Number carefully and make sure it matches the number on your examination documents. Avoid adding unnecessary spaces.
3. Select the correct examination type and year. Candidates who sat for the 2026 school examination should choose WASSCE for School Candidates and select 2026.
4. Enter your result checker details correctly. The serial number and 12-digit PIN must be entered in the right fields. Candidates who need a voucher can dial *713*5388# or visit https://buycheckercodes.com.gh/.
5. Do not pay anyone who claims they can change or upgrade your WASSCE results. Candidates with concerns about their results should contact their school or WAEC through official channels.
Finally, Candidates should not pay anyone who claims to have connections at WAEC or promises to change or upgrade examination results for a fee.
WAEC has repeatedly cautioned candidates and members of the public against fraudsters who make such claims.
