It is always good to have a Plan B in life, and Black Sherif definitely wouldn’t have been jobless if his music career hadn’t taken off well.
Spare parts’ dealership, according to Blacko, is a lucrative industry in Konongo, where he is from.
His father, who lives in Greece, operates a spare parts store there, he said.
“I would have been a spare parts dealer if my music career. It’s a good business in Konongo, where I grew up. My father owns a spare parts shop and I would have been working with him if all this didn’t happen,” he told Naa Ashokor in an interview on Asaase Radio.
Following the release of his latest single, Kwaku The Traveller, Black Sherif, has made history as the first Ghanaian to top the Apple Music chart in Nigeria.
He says he is happy that music fans all over the world have fallen in love with his unique identity and music style.
“I never try to be like anyone. All my life, I always try to be the best me, because I believe there is more to explore in me,” he said.
Black Sherif was adjudged Entertainment Personality of the Year at the 2022 Entertainment Achievement Award (EAA).
