Popular media personality, Patrick Osie Agyemang better known as Countryman Songo, has expressed an opinion that Crystal Palace player Jordan Ayew is a better player than West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus.
Mohammed Kudus and Jordan Ayew are both included in the current Black Stars team to compete at this year’s African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
Kudus has missed most of the Black Stars’ training sessions, including the friendly match against Namibia on Monday, January 8 due to injury.
During an interview on Asempa FM, Songo made accusations against the West Ham forward, claiming that he lacked commitment towards the Black Stars.
The host of the controversial ‘Fire for Fire’ show also compared the attitude of Kudus towards playing for the Black Stars to that of Michael Essien.
Songo, in his usual element fired: “Is Kudus a better player than Jordan Ayew? We have seen better players than Kudus, players who played for Juventus, Osei Kuffuor etc.”
The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will run from Saturday, January 13 to Sunday, February 11, 2024.
The Black Stars are expected to end a 40-year cup drought and are drawn in Group B alongside Cape Verde, Egypt, and Mozambique.
They will open the campaign with a game against Cape Verde on Sunday, January 14, 2023, at the Felix Houphet Boigny Stadium.
