Award-winning Nigerian Afrobeats singer Davido has disclosed that he spends significantly less when he is in the United States than when he is in other parts of the world.
Speaking during a livestream with content creator Davrel, the singer explained that his monthly expenses largely depend on his location.
According to him, living in the US with his wife and children allows him to maintain a relatively modest lifestyle.
“For my spending, it depends on my location. I spend less in Yankee because I live with just my wife and my kids.”
Davido noted that his expenses increase considerably whenever he is outside the US, attributing it to the demands of his career and lifestyle.
“When I’m around, it’s a lot more. Normally, 500, 200, 300K, minus buying jewellery, buying a car… Minus my wife and my household.”
While the singer did not specify the currency he was referring to, his remarks indicate that his personal monthly spending can run into hundreds of thousands, excluding expenses on his family, household, luxury cars and jewellery.
